Women’s stories make up just .5% of recorded history. The Hear Her Out activation kicked off on International Women’s Day to help change that. Outdoor stories were amplified and new ones were collected online and in-person to inspire the next generation.

The New York-based runner, chef, mother and blogger behind Running Fat Chef is an outspoken advocate for body positivity and inclusivity within the running world.

Despite being surrounded by Mt. Hood and hundreds of miles of trails, Yesenia didn’t grow up knowing about outdoor recreation. She didn’t think it was for her. As an adult, she’s begun to adventure more, gaining confidence and feeling physically stronger than ever.

 
 

Kim Chambers was a 30-year-old athlete and powerful executive when she slipped and fell down a set of stairs. The severe injuries she sustained changed the course of her life. She defied the odds by surviving the fall, relearning to walk and becoming one of the most accomplished marathon swimmers in the world.
